Medway Portable Appliance Testing Ltd. can meet all of your P.A.T. Testing needs, using the latest computerised test equipment we are able to test many types of appliances including, I.T. equipment, photocopiers, fax machines, kitchen appliances and power tools.

 


P.A.T Testing should be carried out to comply with the following: -

1) The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

2) The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

3) The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

4) The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999

5) The Workplace Regulations (Health, Safety and Welfare) 1992

 


If your business includes any of the following: - Public Houses, Factories, Offices, Shops, Clubs, Churches, Self -Employed and Building Trades or any other places where your employees have access to Portable Appliances. Persons responsible or owners not carrying out the above could be subject to fines if an accident occurs. 

 


Below are suggested test periods:- 

Office machines and Equipment every 12 months 

Electrical Test Equipment every 12 months 

Moveable items more than 20 Kg in weight every 6 months 

All powered Hand Tools every 3 months 

 


Medway Portable Appliance Testing Ltd. offers out of hours working to minimise disruption to your business, we can give your company a free of charge no obligation survey and quote.  We will supply full test records and certification on paper or on a CD-ROM; all tested appliances are labeled and recorded.  If required, fuses are replaced free of charge but plug tops will incur a small charge, replacement of moulded mains leads can be quoted for.
